The meeting, held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), brought together executives from major technology companies, including Google, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm, to discuss ways to enhance partnerships and expand India’s presence in the tech industry.

Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, praised India’s strategic initiatives to bolster semiconductor manufacturing, a sector critical to the global tech ecosystem.

    Modi’s government has launched several initiatives to reduce dependency on imported semiconductors and establish India as a hub for chip manufacturing, with plans for fabrication units and research facilities. This strategy aligns with India’s ambition to become a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain. Modi’s visit to New York and his engagement with leading U.S. tech firms are part of a larger mission to elevate India’s digital infrastructure on the world stage.

    As the fifth-largest economy, India continues to attract interest from international tech firms, positioning itself as a destination for innovation and talent.
